Economic Development Council Names New Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Clarksville, TN. December 8, 2009. The Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council (EDC) announces a new member to their management team. Jan Croft joins the EDC as their new vice president of marketing and communications.
Jan is a native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She attended Murray State University, where she graduated cum laude with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Advertising. Her years of marketing and advertising experience cover several industries including finance, healthcare and private aviation.
Jan comes to Clarksville from Nashville, where she was actively involved in the community as a member of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce Marketing Roundtable, Nashville Association of Sales Professionals, Nashville American Marketing Association, Frist Center for the Arts, Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Nashville Symphony Orchestra League and Team Green. She also served as a volunteer for several organizations including the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Nashville Adult Literacy Council, United Way and Compassion International.
In her new role, Jan will be implementing the public relations and marketing strategies as they relate to the goals for the EDC, its partners and the Aspire Foundation. She will be marketing the organization for Clarksville and Montgomery County, as well as serving as the primary media contact for the group.
